Ariel Rechtshaid's Coachella Playlist

Festival-inspired sounds compiled by a Grammy-winning producer. Need we say more?

You know Ariel Rechtshaid by sound, if not by name. He's the Grammy-winning producer and songwriter who creates music with the likes of Haim, Vampire Weekend and Sky Ferreira, and a Grammy-nominee for Producer of the Year this past February. For someone with Rechtshaid's musical expertise, making a workout playlist is child's play—albeit something whose importance he can appreciate. "Whether it's a message that gets me hyped or a sound that inspires me, the right song really helps motivate me when I'm running or playing ball," says the L.A.-based producer. "Great rhythms and chord progressions are essential." With Coachella wrapping up this weekend, we asked Rechtshaid to put together his perfect festival-inspired mix.
